Fall Favorites: Cozy Picks for Your Autumn Interiors

Fall is finally here, and as an interior designers, we can't help but get excited about all the cozy products that come along with this season. So, let's dive into our favorite fall picks for creating a warm and inviting space.

1. Rich Textiles: When the temperature starts to drop, it's time to bring out the plush throws, textured rugs, and soft blankets. Opt for warm colors like burnt orange, brown, deep burgundy, or olive green to add a touch of autumnal charm to your living room or bedroom. These cozy textiles not only keep you warm but also add a layer of comfort to your space.

2. Natural Elements: Fall is all about celebrating nature's beauty, so why not bring it indoors? Incorporate elements like dried flowers and branches into your decor. These natural touches instantly add warmth to any room. Don't forget to consider incorporating wood accents or furniture pieces to really embrace the fall vibes.

3. Mood Lighting: As the days get shorter, creating the right ambiance becomes even more important. Switch out your bright, fluorescent bulbs for warm, dimmable lighting options. Invest in some table lamps, floor lamps, or even candles and candle holders to create a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a movie night.

4. Fall-inspired Artwork: Refresh your walls with artwork that reflects the beauty of autumn. Look for paintings or prints that showcase fall colors, landscapes, or even abstract interpretations of the season. These pieces will not only add visual interest but also set the mood for a warm and inviting space.

Whether you're looking to update your living room, bedroom, or any other room in your home, incorporating these fall favorites will surely transform your space into a welcoming autumn haven. Which item is your fav?

Our go-to Menu for a Delicious (and easy) Easter Brunch

Celebrating Easter can be a fun family activity and something that everyone looks forward to. But for busy moms - (*ahem…like us)- coming up with festive Easter meals can be a challenge. Especially when we’re also the chair of the “Easter basket committee “ & tasked with whippin’ up an inviting table for the whole fam (like this).

All jokes aside, we're here to share some fail-proof brunch recipes that the whole family will love and that are made with minimal effort. We’ll show you how to create an amazing go-to menu to accompany your beautiful Easter table. We’ve linked our favorite recipes below!

The BEST Deviled Eggs:

Truly, they are bomb. Here’s the recipe.

Aunt Sharon's Monkey Bread:

It's really this recipe from Pioneer Women, but Aunt Sharon gave me the hot tip to alway mix up more butter and brown sugar so now I call it hers.

Let me tell you, the more butter and brown sugar is worth it. 30 seconds on the lips, lifetime on the hips does NOT apply here. 📷

Quiche:

I mean, does Joanna Gaines do anything subpar? Try this recipe

Mixed Berries:

Grab some strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries. Wash, let dry (overnight!), slice strawberries and toss together. Easy peasy!

Rolls:

Trick everybody into thinking you have spent so much time baking rolls from scratch (my sister-in-law fooled me for YEARS): Grab some of these (Rhodes Thaw, Rise & Bake Frozen Dough - NOT the Warm & Serve ones). They are available at most grocery stores like Fred Meyer, Safeway, even Wal-Mart. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with non-stick spray, place twelve frozen rolls spaced evenly, then generously (and I mean g-e-n-e-r-o-u-s-l-y!) spray this spray  on a piece of plastic wrap. Let them rise in a warm place. I turn the light on in my oven and put the pan there (do not turn your oven on, just the light! Just your cold oven with the light on creates just enough heat for them to rise.) Or I put them by a heater vent or near the fireplace. Let them rise in a warm spot for about 5 hours or until they are doubled in size. Just don't over-proof them. Take rolls out of the oven if you have let them rise in there with the light on. Preheat to 350. Carefully remove plastic wrap (this is why it was important to spray the heck out of the plastic wrap because if it sticks to one of the rolls it will "pop" it, then you're toast.) Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.Remove rolls from pan, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt.

Honey Roasted Carrots:

I adopted this recipe from my friend Mandy and they are so easy and such a crowd pleaser! Everybody loves them! Etta, my six-year-old always asks "can I have more whipped cream on mine?" (she means the goat cheese - I don't dare tell her it's goat cheese or she might add it to her long list of foods she "doesn't prefer") Find the recipe here.

Ham:

Last, but certainly not least, HAM! I like to grab a ham from Costco and fancy it up a little with some glaze. I love this recipe.
